Shout! Factory will distribute Marvel Knights Animation properties to home video, the companies announced today. The properties include the motion comics Astonishing X-Men: Gifted, Iron Man: Extremis, and Spider-Woman; and the Black Panther TV series (described by some as being in a motion comic style) originally produced for BET (see “Black Panther Finds His Voice”). Shout! Factory is also distributing the animated series Super Hero Squad to home video (see “Super Hero Squad on Video”).
The deal will grow to encompass “many more” properties to be announced, according to the announcement.
