In August AEG plans to release Enemies of the Empire ($39.99), the first book to follow up the Fourth Edition of the Legend of the Five Rings Roleplaying Game.  The Emerald Empire of Rokugan has many threats from both within and without—and only knowledge of these threats, which Enemies of the Empire provides, offers players of the L5R RPG the chance to defeat them.

Enemies of the Empire features many threats for players, including creatures both natural and fantastic, as well as internal threats such as vast conspiracies and evil blood cults.  Information on new races and schools allow players to move beyond the role of samurai, and to become outsiders and play as an ancient Naga, a cunning Nezumi, or even take on the roles of those who are out to destroy the Empire. 

The new supplement also provides the history of the setting from the point of view of various races, few of which correlate to the Rokugani traditions.  Plus Enemies of the Empire also provides additional adventure options, new spells, techniques, and more.
