At Comic-Con Liquid Comics announced that horror film maestro Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Last House on the Left) would be creating his first original graphic novel for publication by Liquid Comics.  Craven, Liquid Comics and producer Arnold Rifkin’s Cheyenne Enterprises (16 Blocks, Leave Free or Die) are forming a publishing partnership to exploit a story idea for both a comic book and a subsequent film based on it that Craven said he “had been dying to get out there” for some time.

Liquid plans to launch the story as a four issue comic-book story starting early next year.  Details about the concept behind the comic book have are being kept under wraps.  In addition to developing the property as a traditional comic book and as a movie, the partners also plan to exploit it across a variety of digital platforms including online, iPads, iPhones, and other mobile and gaming devices.
