At the San Diego Comic-Con IDW Publishing announced the 2011 publication of The Ultimate Alex Raymond Collection: The Definitive Flash Gordon & Jungle Jim, which will include every Raymond-created Sunday page from both classic strips, remastered, restored, and collected in a deluxe oversize 12” x 16”
This latest offering in IDW’s Library of American Comics Series features some of the best work from Raymond, who was the absolute master of the adventure comic strip. Although the Flash Gordon and Jungle Jim strips, which Raymond illustrated from 1934-1944, have been reprinted before, this is the first time that they have presented together in a fully restored edition that prints the strips in a large size and in Raymond’s original format that includes the Jungle Jim topper. Dan Moore and Raymond created the Jungle Jim strip to run as "topper" above the Flash Gordon strip on Sundays and this is how the two strips are presented in the new Definitive Flash Gordon & Jungle Jim series.
