Z-Man Games has announced plans to release Earth Reborn this October.  Set on a future battlefield of an earth blasted by terrible weapons, this scenario-driven tactical board game is designed to be easy to learn and offers fast-paced play.  Earth Reborn was designed by Christophe Boelinger, the designer of Dungeon Twister.

The background story presents a world ravaged by the catastrophic use of biological and nuclear weapons.  The few survivors of the conflict emerge from their underground safe houses some five hundred years in the future.  Two powerful factions, the necromantic Salemites and the technologically advanced NORAD now face off in a conflict for resources and lost knowledge.

Two to four players take command of a cast of individual characters, each with unique abilities and skills.  A limited pool of “Command Points” force the players to carefully balance their strategy with the needs of their characters.  The combat system is designed to be fast-paced but highly detailed.  Using a series of scenarios, players learn the rules as they play.  More advanced concepts are added in each scenario.  A “Scenario Auto Generating System” is also included to help players design their own scenarios.

Earth Reborn features a tile-based geomorphic board and 12 highly detailed 28mm miniatures.

The suggested retail price for Earth Reborn has not yet been set.  The stock number will be ZMG 7060.
