WizKids has released a board game based on Hunger Games, the hugely popular Scholastic young adult novel trilogy by Suzanne Collins.  The title refers to games held in a post-apocalyptic North America, where each of 12 districts sends a boy and a girl between 12 and 18 years old to fight to the death in a televised competition.  Prior to the competition, the Tributes (the young competitors) train, and it’s in that training environment where the WizKids game takes place.

The game is designed by Brian Kinsella and Wilson Price, and retails for $19.99.

The print run on the third volume of the novel trilogy, Mockingjay, was recently bumped from 700,000 to 1.2 million for its release later this month.
