For Bookstore Distribution

Jeff Smith’s Cartoon Books, which publishes the one-volume edition of Bone and three collections of Smith’s new series, Rasl, is moving its bookstore distribution to Publishers Group West effective October 1st.  Cartoon Books issued a statement addressed “to all comic book retailers” assuring direct market retailers that they “will still be able to purchase books from their regular distribution channels, but now also have the option of purchasing books directly from PGW.”

Cartoon Books provided an explanation for shifting its bookstore distribution from Diamond Book Distributors to Publishers Group West.  “We felt that the best way to reach the full potential of both Bone and Rasl was to make a change," a spokesperson said.  "We’re making the switch because even though Diamond (Book Distributors) has been an excellent distributor for many years, we have recently had numerous problems that were not addressed with the urgency we would have liked.”
