The Hub, the new channel formed by Discovery Kids and Hasbro (see “New Channel The Hub”) will launch Transformers: Prime, a five-episode CGI animated miniseries, Thanksgiving weekend.  The programming event will kick off Friday night (November 26th) with a special episode of Hubworld, a weekly pop culture magazine will focus on Transformers: Prime.  Hubworld will be follow-ed by a making-of special, and then the first two episodes of the series. 

 

The full miniseries will then air on consecutive evenings beginning the following Monday, November 29th. 

 

Characters will include Autobots Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Decepticon Megatron, and new human characters. 

 

Transfomers: Prime is exec-produced by Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci, and Jeff Kline (Kurtzman and Orci exec-produced the first two blockbuster Transformers features).

 

Transformers 3, the third feature in the series, will premiere July 1st, 2011.
