Hill and Wang has announced the June 2011 release of graphic novel adaptations of two Ray Bradbury classics:  Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles and Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes. Each comes with an introduction by the author.

Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles, stories of man’s attempt to colonize Mars, features full color artwork by Dennis Calero (X-Men Noir).  The 160-page 6”x9” hardcover will retail for $30; the trade paperback for $17.95.

Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes is a dark fantasy that has black and white art by Ron Wimberly (Swamp Thing, Lucifer).  The 144-page 6” x 9” hardcover will retail for $30; the trade paperback for $15.95.

Hill and Wang previously published an adaptation of Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, which made ICv2’s Top 10 Fiction & Reality titles of 2009 (see “Top 10 Fiction & Reality Titles--2009”), was well reviewed (see “Review of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451:  The Authorized Adaptation”), and received an Eisner nomination (see “2010 Eisner Nominations Released”).
