Bluewater Productions’ Sinbad: Rogue of Mars graphic novel has been optioned for feature film development by Morningside Entertainment. The graphic novel, due out in April, is written by Greg Thompson and Ryan Burton, with art by Jeff Cruz and Diego Simone. 

 

Morningside, founded by Charles Schneer and Ray Harryhausen, produced The 7th Voyage of Sinbad in 1958. Schneer’s nephew Barry Schneer will serve as Executive Producer of the new film, the first of a planned trilogy. 

 

Morningside is partnering with Pablo Antoniazzi, Director of the Brazilian Bank, Estratejia Investimentos, S.A. to finance the film. 

 

A 2012 release date is being targeted.
