Mattel and Warner Bros. Consumer products have released some of the first images from the extensive licensing program for the Green Lantern movie, which opens on June 17th. In addition to master toy licensee Mattel, other key Green Lantern movie licensees include Rubies Costumes, Noble Collection Replicas, NECA, Pressman Toy, Funko, Kiz Toyz, Mezco Toyz, Toy Factory Trendsetters, Hewlett Packard, and University Games.  The size of the licensing program is an indication of how important the Green Lantern movie is to Warner Brothers, an importance that is underscored by the film’s tie-in to the new DC Universe MMORPG, a link that has been documented by the Hollywood Reporter.

Shape Shifter
Mattel’s lineup includes both basic and deluxe action figures. Judging from the first image of the Hal Jordan Action Figure it appears that the likenesses are going to be pretty much exact and they should be since they were produced from digital files created in association with the movie.

Colossal Cannon
The Green Lantern Colossal Cannon Blaster, which features a rotating Gatling Gun-style barrel, has a ten-shot capacity for its power disc projectiles. When the cannon is fired, its built-in ring lights up and the gun begins emitting blaster sounds.

Projection Ring
The Green Lantern Deluxe Battle Shifters Figures come with the folded up Power Slinger accessory. Of course many of the Green Lantern toys come with a Green Lantern ring so that the kids who receive the toys will feel like they too have been chosen to be a Green Lantern.

Board Game
And then there is the Green Lantern Projection Ring that can project the Lantern symbol over 50 feet. Also set for release this spring is a board game based on the film.
