The Devil Made Us Do It

White Wolf Preps Major Backlist Sale

Published: 10/24/2002 12:00am
Beginning at sunset on Halloween and ending with the sunrise on New Year's Day 2003, White Wolf is slashing 140 backlist items to the devilishly low price of $6.66.  The books are from a wide range of White Wolf's gaming galaxies including, Vampire: The Masquerade; Vampire: The Dark Ages; Werewolf: The Apocalypse; Werewolf: Wild West; Mage: The Ascension; Mage: The Sorcerers Crusade; Hunter: The Reckoning; Changeling: The Dreaming; Kindred of the East; World of Darkness; and Mind's Eye Theater.  Most of the books were originally priced in the $12-$15 range, though some of the titles are hardcovers that retailed north of $25.  The complete list of titles is listed on the White Wolf website, and the titles can be ordered with their large customized $6.66 price tags via the game distributors.

White Wolf is not providing credits or 'write-downs' for the inventory of sale titles that retailers may currently have in stock.  Retailers do not have to participate in the sales promotion --in some areas the $6.66 price tag may well be perceived as objectionable, while other retailers who have inventory on these items may not want to discount them.
