Spin Master revealed details of its organized play plans at the recently completed GAMA Trade Show in Las Vegas. The first event, a preview event, will be held on June 4th to promote the release of the first RedaKai product to the hobby (see “Hobby Gets First Crack at the Next Big Thing”). A second preview event will be held around the end of August, supporting the next product release.

The company will also support league play through its RedaKai Saturdays program, which will consist of four league cycles per year. Support (at no cost to retailers) will include participant cards, followed by achievement based promo cards, including three prize cards and a league completion card.

Spin Master will launch a Website for online organized play management, which will include tools for stores, players, and judges. Stores will be able to get a higher level of marketing support in exchsnge for more complete event reporting (e.g., including photos).

Beginning in 2012, Spin Master will begin support for regular competitive RedaKai events, in addition to league play and preview events.

Spin Master has also announced three preferred distributors for the hobby channel: Diamond/Alliance, ACD, and Southern Hobby.
