Bandai will launch a league play program for its Resident Evil deckbuilding game beginning in June. Promotional tools will include exclusive promo cards, with playmates also under consideration.

Resident Evil, which is Bandai’s first deckbuilding game, has been on a tear. The first release sold out and is being reprinted for April release. The first expansion, Resident Evil: Alliance (see “Resident Evil: Alliance”), which will also be released in April, was ordered at levels 60-70% above the orders for the initial release last fall, according to a Bandai spokesperson.

A new expansion for Resident Evil will be released every four months.
