Warner Bros. has revealed that it is putting a Justice League of America feature, based on the DC team, back in development for a possible 2013 release, according to the Los Angeles Times. A script is in the works, according to the report.

A JLA feature was in the works a few years back, but the plug was pulled in early 2008 (see “Warners Put the Brakes on ‘JLA’”).

The studio has Batman and Superman features lined up for 2012 and has an over-all strategy of producing two DC-based films per year (see “Two DC Movies a Year”).  Scripts are also being prepared for both Flash and Wonder Woman features as options for the other 2013 DC release.  Further down the road, the studio plans to “reinvent” Batman in the wake of the completion of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy of Batman films after the release of The Dark Knight Rises next year (see “’DKR’ Is the Last Chapter of Nolan’s Batman Saga”).
