Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced the May 24th for the release of a new batch of Class Starter Decks for 2011, updating the 2010 Class Starter Decks that introduced many players to the game. Each deck (MSRP $10.99) includes 61 cards, one official rulebook, and one 19-card World of Warcraft Booster Pack.

With the new 2011 Class Starter Decks players can easily pick an appealing race and class combination and begin playing right out of the box. Choices include death knight, druid, hunter, image, paladin, priest, rogue, shaman, warlock, and warrior classes. The 2011 Class Starter Decks will also include heroes of the goblin and worgen races introduced in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. The Class Starter Decks will introduce ten new exclusive hero class cards, including “Baeltor of the Undercity,” “Jaral of Gilneas,” and “Frizlix of Kezan,” accompanied by faction-appropriate allies, class abilities, resources, and equipment.

In support of this release Cryptozoic will feature the Class Starter Decks in Spectral Safari Tournaments at participating hobby shops this summer. In addition special beginner Starter Deck tournaments will allow players to learn the game and win great prizes at Darkmoon Faire events around the world.

Players who purchase the new Class Starter Decks will also have a chance to win randomly inserted Loot cards that provide cosmetic upgrades for their online World of Warcraft characters including a common “Sandbox Tiger,” uncommon “Owned” (in-game Flag of ownership), or a rare “El Pollo Grande” (in-game rooster mount).
