IDW Publishing will release three Transformers graphic novel collections in late May, all of which tie-in to the release of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon live-action blockbuster, which hits theaters on July 1st, 2011. Transformers: Dark of the Moon—Rising Storm is a four-issue prequel to the events in the movie that will be collected in a full color trade paperback that will be available on May 18th with a cover price of $17.99.
 
Also available on that day is Transformers: Dark of the Moon—Foundation, another full color $17.99 trade paperback collecting the 4-issue series written by John Barber with art by Andrew Griffith that explores the never-before-revealed tale of how Optimus Prime and Megatron became bitter enemies.
 
One week later on May 25th IDW will publish the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Movie Adaptation, a 104-page, full color comic book adaptation of the actual summer blockbuster movie.  The comic book adaptation was written by John Barber with art by Jorge Jimenez Moreno.  It will also have cover price of $17.99.
