DC Comics has revealed the creative teams for a number of its key Batman books including the publisher’s flagship title Detective Comics.  Writer/artist Tony Daniel puts Bruce Wayne on the trail of a serial killer known as the “Gotham Ripper” in Detective Comics #1, which also features a striking cover image by Tony Daniel.

Batman #1
In the first Batman #1 since 1940, New York Times bestselling author Scott Snyder (Detective Comics, Voodoo Heart) teams up with artist Greg Capullo—and more importantly, according to DC’s The Source blog, Bruce Wayne becomes the only character taking on the Batman name.

Batman: The Dark Knight #1
Two other “Bat-titles” were announced today including Batman: The Dark Knight #1, which will be written and drawn (in part) by David Finch, who will be assisted on art chores by Jay Fabok.  Finch has created a twisted adventure that sends Batman deep into the bowels of Arkham Asylum.

Batman and Robin #1
The final book announced today was Batman and Robin #1, which will be written by Peter J. Tomasi and illustrated by Pat Gleason.  This series will exam The Dark Knight’s family dynamics as he battles Gotham’s underworld with the help of his son Damian in the role of Robin.
