Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid may or may not be a graphic novel depending on how inclusive a definition of the category you favor, but there is no denying the popularity of the combination of stick figure drawings and the self-absorbed first-person ruminations of middle-schooler Greg Heffley.  Abrams is printing six million copies of Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever, which is due out on November 15th.

The last three volumes of the Wimpy Kid series have all topped overall bestseller lists, and the 6 million copy first printing of Cabin Fever is the largest announced so far for 2011.  According to USA Today, the events in Cabin Fever were inspired by snowstorm in Massachusetts last winter that trapped Kinney in his home without power or heat.
