A new TV spot for Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger appears to reveal the way the movie begins with a "discovery" sequence in the artic that wasn't even suggested by any of the previous trailers or spots and could have implications for the film's ending, so spoiler alerts are in order. Now comic book fans are well aware how Cap made it to the modern era, but how the Marvel will handle the transition between the World War II origin saga that is Captain America: The First Avenger and Joss Whedon's modern day Avengers has not yet been revealed, though this sequence, which comes at the beginning of the spot, just might be part of it.
Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger unspools in 3-D and 2-D nationwide on July 22nd, 2011.
