Ruth Wilson will join the cast of the Lone Ranger feature in the lead female role, according to Variety. She will play the wife of the Lone Ranger’s brother, who heads the Rangers. Wilson appeared in AMC’s The Prisoner. 

She joins Armie Hammer (the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network), who plays the Lone Ranger, and Johnnie Depp, who plays Tonto (see “Who Was that Masked Winklevoss?”). Tom Wilkinson has also been cast in the film (see “Zorro Casting”).

Dynamite is launching a new Matt Wagner Lone Ranger series this month, which will conclude his storyline on the book (see “Matt Wagner Talks ‘Zorro’”).
