Comic-Con News--Here’s the Comic-Con trailer video for the new Last Airbender series, The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra, which is slated to debut on Nickelodeon next spring or summer.  The series is a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender and takes place in the same fictional universe as the original show. In this world people may have the supernatural ability to manipulate water, earth, fire, or air, but only the Avatar can bend all four elements.  Korra, the quick-tempered protagonist of this 26-episode series, which is set at least 70 years after the events in the first series, is the next incarnation of the Avatar after Aang from the original series.

The original Last Airbender series, which aired from 2005-2008, was a hit with both critics and kids as it scored some of the best ratings in Nickelodeon history.  It also spawned a live-action movie, action figures, video games, a trading card game, and a comic book series from Dark Horse.
