The home video release of Priest, based on the Tokyopop manhwa, did well in its first week, topping the Blu-ray chart from Nielsen, according to Home Media Magazine.  It came in third, behind Rio and Dexter: Fifth Season, over-all.  Priest sold about 2/3 the units of the animated Rio, the #1 release for the week, according to the report.
Priest did 52% of its unit sales in Blu-ray, which was good for dollars but less so for pieces.
The film has a chance to break even if it does well in home video (see “The First Summer 2011 Comic Book Movie on DVD”).
