Moonscoop will create a new animated series based on the Archie Comics character Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the companies announced today.  The show will give Sabrina a new look, and “bring here in line with a more modern and teen-centric sensibility,” according to the announcement.
Sabrina has been a powerful media property for over four decades.  An animated Sabrina series ran for four seasons beginning in 1970; a live action Sabrina TV series ran for seven years beginning in 1996; and an animated series ran for one year beginning in 1999.
Moonscoop has produced over 3000 half-hours of children’s programming, including Fantastic Four, Geronimo Stilton, Hero: 108, and many more.
