AMC announced that it has renewed The Walking Dead for a third season, after a strong premiere of the second (see “’Walking Dead’ Season 2 Ratings Boffo”). The show also had a strong international launch last weekend through Fox International Channels, the company said, with over 10 million viewers in 122 countries viewing the first episode live.
With millions more people watching the show than did last year, it’s likely that the comics and graphic novels, written by Robert Kirkman, will once again hang around the top of the graphic novel charts over the coming months.  And this time around, there are two new games tied to the property:  Cryptozoic’s, based on the show (see “Cryptozoic’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Board Game” and Z-Man’s, based on the comics (see “’The Walking Dead: The Board Game’”).
