Ed Brubaker, who wrote the original Coward strory arc featured in his Criminal comic series for Marvel’s Icon imprint, will write the screenplay for the movie, according to Variety. The film is being made by Hunting Lane Films, and David Slade (30 Days of Night, see “30 Days of Night Drains Box Office”) is attached to direct.
Brubaker told Variety that a sequel to Coward (which had art by Sean Phillips) is planned, and that Hunting Lane has an option on the sequel as well.
