ADV's Anime Network has announced its first cable system deal: an initial 25 hours of Anime Network programming will be made available to video-on-demand customers of Comcast in the Philadelphia area.  Video-on-demand is available at no additional charge to all Comcast digital cable customers, some 1.2 million households.  The programming is made available to viewers at times of their own choosing with the same functionality they'd have if they were viewing the programming on a VCR.  The Anime Network promises announcements on additional cable systems soon.

 

Titles available in this initial program include both feature films and episodes from series, including Spriggan, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Excel Saga, Martian Successor Nadesico, Gasaraki, Noir, Dai-Guard, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Orphen, Golden Boy, Sorcerer Hunters, Kimera, Ninja Resurrection, Tekken, Those Who Hunt Elves, Gunsmith Cats, Burn Up W, and Samurai X:  The Motion Picture.
