Dwayne Johnson, “The Rock,” is attached to star in a film based on Zenescope Entertainment’s Monster Hunters’ Survival Guide comic miniseries.  Johnson is currently shooting G.I. Joe 2:  Retaliation and recently appeared in Fast Five. 

The film will be produced by Simon Kinberg of Genre Films. Kinberg has some serious genre film cred.  He wrote a script for Fantastic Four (see “A Nip/Tuck for Dr. Doom”), X-Men: The Last Stand (see “X-3 Writer on Board”), and Sherlock Holmes; and produced X-Men:  First Class.
