Image Comics and Amazing Comic Conventions (promoter of the Amazing Arizona Comic Con) will host Image Expo, a three day celebration of creator-owned comics and the 20th anniversary of Image, in February. The show will be held February 24-26 at the Oakland Convention Center.
Guests will include Image partners Robert Kirkman, Erik Larsen, Todd McFarlane, Marc Silvestri, and Jim Valentino; plus Image founders Rob Liefeld and Whilce Portacio. Other guests will include Joe Casey, Jay Faerber, Jonathan Hickman, Ryan Ottley, Richard Starkings, Fiona Staples, and Brian K. Vaughan.
The exhibit floor will be open to anyone making creator-owned comics. The show plans programming for plans, aspiring creators, and library professionals, along with a huge benefit auction supporting the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
