'Sailor Moon' Pulls Off a Hat Trick
Third Month at #1
Published: 12/08/2011 01:55am
The first volumes of both Sailor series took #1 and #6 in October (see "'Sailor Moon Still on Top") and #1 and #2 in September (see "'Sailor Moon' is #1").
Note: T he first version of this chart, published on the morning of December 7th, did not include Sailor Moon Vol. 1 due to an error at a company that supplies BookScan with classification data. It correctly appears at #5, as noted above. We had speculated that the reason that volume was absent from the list (since it had been selling so well) was that there were supply problems. There were no supply problems; there are plenty of copies of Sailor Moon Vol. 1 available. –ed.
The Walking Dead had its best showing of this new, bigger TV season, with seven volumes in the Top 20.
DC Comics' Batman: Noel HC, a new release, was the top superhero title at #4.
Craig Thompson’s Habibi HC slipped a bit (#7) but stayed in the Top 10 for the third month.
DC is preparing for the release of its New 52 collection in December with the release of the Flashpoint HC collection in November, which charted at #17.
