Konami has released details on Order of Chaos, the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! expansion.  This set acts as a sort of sequel to the Invasion of Chaos set, released in 2004.  The expansion is scheduled to release on January 24th.

Order of Chaos features a new champion, “Number 39: Utopia Ray,” which will be a “Xyz Monster” that can only be summoned as an upgrade to the earlier “Number 39: Utopia.”  The “Inzektors” will be a theme in the set, including their own technology and monsters.  These cards are designed to be modular and can be used in interchangeable combinations. Ninjas are also a major part of the set, including ten new monsters and five new traps.

This new set will include a total of 100 new cards, including 8 Secret Rares, 10 Ultra Rares, and 14 Super Rare cards.  It will be packaged in booster packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99 each.

The new release will be supported by the on-going Saturday morning cartoon series Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal (see “’YGO: Zexal’ in October with Trailer”).
