Most of the hype for sci-fi movies this summer has been concentrated on Ridley Scott's Prometheus, but there's another big-budget summer sci-fi tentpole, Len Wiseman's Total Recall, which stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, and Jessica Biel. The word is that Wiseman's film hews much more closely to the events in Phillip K. Dick's novella We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, than Paul Verhoeven's 1990 version, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The new version of Total Recall is set for an August 3rd debut. Dynamite Entertainment published a Total Recall comic based on Dick’s novella (see “Dynamite’s ‘Total Recall’ Extends the Story”).
