Jonah Hex co-creator Tony DeZuniga is in a hospital in the Philippines with serious complications from a stroke suffered last week.  His financial situation is dire, according to a post on Comic Art Community, where a note from his wife is quoted as explaining that without insurance they owe $1500 a day to the hospital and they have no liquid assets.  The link above explains how to make a donation to his care.
Neal Adams issued an appeal for support, noting that DeZuniga was the first of a wave of artists form the Philippines to work for U.S. comic publishers and asking for donations, "whether as a favor to me, or to help a fellow comic book artist, or for any other reason you can do it."
