Namco Bandai Games has announced that its ShiftyLook Webcomics site will feature an all-star collaboration to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the classic 1982 arcade game Dig Dug.  The iconic Dig Dug game in which players attempted to inflate (and thus destroy) tomato-like Pookas and dragonesque Fygars will live again in Webcomics form with all-star creative teams each contributing self-contained Dig Dug stories, each with a different angle.

Here’s a partial list of the creators involved in the Dig Dug Webcomic, which includes such luminaries as Penny Arcade’s Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins, plus Scott Kurtz (PVP), Dean Haspiel, Ben McCool, Marv Wolfman, and Matt Moylan as well as Raynato Castro, Jeff Cruz, Brian Clevinger, Mike Costa, Alex Culang, Joey Esposito, Marko Head, J.J. Kirby, Erik Ko, Nick Langley, David Maliki, Matt Melvin, Hoang Nguyen, Ryan North, and Robert Porter, J. Torres and many more.
