Marvel Comics will go pink in October, launching a month-long campaign in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Marvel is providing special variant covers for select titles featuring Marvel heroes in special pink-colored costumes.  In addition all Marvel superhero comics in October will feature a special one-page advertorial educating readers about breast cancer—a message that Marvel will also make available on its internet site and via social media.

Captain America #18
The titles that will feature the Susan G. Komen for the Cure variant covers in October will be some of Marvel's bestsellers including Avengers #31, Captain America #18, Captain Marvel #5, Fantastic Four #611, Invincible Iron Man #526, Mighty Thor #21, Uncanny X-Men #20, and Wolverine #315.

The program will allow the Susan G. Komen fund, which was recently embroiled in a political controversy stemming from a decision (quickly rescinded) to stop funding Planned Parenthood, a chance to reach out with a positive message to a new, predominantly male audience, "empowering them to take positive action for their breast health and for that of the women they love."
