Gen Con News:At last week’s Gen Con game fair, ICv2 had an opportunity to meet with Jodi Wasserman, Director of Marketing for The Upper Deck Company to learn more about the Marvel Super Hero Squad mall demo tour. She describes the mall tour program:

"We have a mall tour through Simon Malls from the Fun Factory.  It stops at 27 different locations and started on August 9th in St. Petersburg, Florida.  It goes across the country through November, all the way through to California.  At the mall tour you can check out Super Hero Squad, and do demos.  We’re giving out some sample packs.  And, in addition, we made these great over-sized Spectacular Spider Man cards that are a driver to sales and tell a little bit about the product.”

Marvel Super Hero Squad is a collectible card game released earlier this year to tie in with the Gazillion Marvel Super Hero Squad Online game.  For more details, see "Preview: 'Marvel Super Hero Squad TCG.'"

Simon Malls’ Fun Factory mall tour features free programs and one-on-one demos for kids and families at malls across the country.  In addition to Upper Deck, Fun Factory will feature games from other publishers, including Gogo’s Crazy Bones, Imperial Toy LLC, and Moshi Monsters.
