Mild Spoiler Alert: The AMC cable network has released two new short promos for the third season of its adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead.  The first clip features some "R" rated, stomach-churning gore from Season 2 that includes a death that those who haven’t watched TWD’s sophomore session might not want to know about in advance.  Season 2 was just released on DVD and Blu-ray (see "'DVD Round-Up: The Walking Dead'"). 

 

The second promo features footage from Season 3 and if you don’t want to know whether "the prison" contained any walkers, don’t watch this clip.  The first eight episodes of Season 3 will begin airing on AMC on October 14th, 2012.
