Radical Studios’ Hercules: Thracian Wars will start production early next year, co-produced by MGM Studios and Paramount Pictures.  Brett Ratner, who directed X-Men: The Last Stand and the first two Rush Hour movies, among many others, is set to direct with Dwayne Johnson starring.
The film, based on the graphic novel written by Steve Moore, was originally in development with Spyglass and Universal set to finance and Peter Berg to produce and direct (see "Peter Berg to Helm 'Hercules'"). Berg remains as a producer.  The Ryan Condal script has been revised by Evan Spiliotopoulos (Wanted 2).
Production on Radical’s first movie, Oblivion, has wrapped; release date is April 12, 2013. Based on an as-yet-unpublished graphic novel by Tron:  Legacy director Joseph Kosinski (who directed the film), it stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, and others. It was originally to be produced by Disney (see "Disney Drops 'Oblivion'"), but will now be distributed by Universal.
