'Star Trek' Sequel IMAX 3D Preview
With 'The Hobbit'

Nine minutes from J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness will be shown in 500 IMAX 3D theaters with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, premiering December 14th. The preview is the first time exclusive footage has premiered in IMAX 3D and only the third time a preview has been released in IMAX.
The footage is among the portions of the Star Trek sequel that were short with high resolution IMAX cameras (see "'Star Trek 2' in IMAX 3D").
Shooting on the film wrapped last summer. Star Trek into Darkness premieres May 17, 2013 (see "Bones Reveals 'Star Trek' Sequel's Villain").
