Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced the February 2013 release of Batman: Arkham City Escape Board Game (MSRP $45.00), a two-player board game based on the popular video game franchise, which is of course based on DC Comic’s most popular character. In the Arkham City Escape board game, one player takes on the role of the Dark Knight while the other controls a rogue’s gallery of Batman’s foes.
The player portraying the Caped Crusader earns points by taking down villains, while the other player scores when he manages to finagle an escape from Gotham for one of his charges. This game involves plenty of strategy since in order to confront the villains and utilize his utility belt Batman must occupy the same square on the game board.
The deluxe Batman: Arkham City Escape Board Game includes an 18" x 33" game board, an 11" x 18" Batman Utility Belt game board, 8 custom die decorated either with the Bat symbol or the Joker’s trademark smile, a 40-card villain deck, and a 40-card combat deck for the Batman player.
