Disney Moves to Dismiss
Stan Lee Media Suit

Disney has filed a motion to dismiss the Stan Lee Media lawsuit over the Marvel characters, according to Variety. The suit has little chance of succeeding regardless of whether it is dismissed at this stage; the company under its post-Stan Lee ownership and control has sued lots of people, none of them successfully (see "Same Old BS Dept.: Stan Lee Media Sues Again").
Disney’s grounds for requesting dismissal include the fact that Disney is a holding company and does not do business where the suit was filed, and that the suit is flawed in other ways, including failing to identify which characters SLM claims to own.
