AEG will release Awesome Level 9000, the first expansion for the Smash Up “shufflebuilding” game (see "AEG Preps Shuffle-Building Card Game, 'Smash Up'"), in March.

 

The expansion will include four new factions: Killer Plants, Ghosts, Steampunks, and Bear Cavalry.  Each faction has its own unique set of cards and special abilities, and are designed to work together with all of the factions from the basic game.

 

Smash Up: Awesome Level 9000 will include 90 minion and action cards plus eight new base cards and a twelve-page rulebook.  The retail price has not yet been set.
