DC Comics will release Harlan Ellison’s 7 Against Chaos, a graphic novel written by Harlan Ellison with art by Paul Chadwick, next summer.  With similar themes to Seven Samurai and Magnificent Seven, the graphic novel will tell the story of seven alien warriors who must find the source of chaos unraveling the fabric of reality and defeat it.

Ellison said of the work, "This is 21 years of work finally come to fruition.  It is The Magnificent Seven, The Seven Samurai in space, it is the dream fulfilled."

Ellison has been in ill health, which led him to declare over two years ago that he was dying (see "Ellison: 'I'm Dying'").  At the time, he said he had completed his last work, for The Discarded.  When he wrote 7 Against Chaos isn’t known.
