The first Batmobile, created in 1966 for the Batman TV series, is being auctioned by collector car auction house Barrett-Jackson, which has been touting the sale as likely to bring in “multiple millions.” This original Batmobile was built by George Burris in 15 days for $15,000 on a base of a Lincoln Futura concept car which he bought for $1. It has been in Burris’ personal collection until this sale.
