Commercials director Dan Trachtenberg has been tapped to direct the film based on Y: The Last Man, according to Deadline.  The project appears to be moving quickly, now that New Line is happy with the script (see "'Y: The Last Man' Movie Is Back in Play").  Trachtenberg attracted attention by producing a trailer for a faux movie based on the videogame Portal that attracted 11 million views.
