The Cartoon Network has released information on its 2013 schedule.  Gone from the schedule are the DC Comics-based Young Justice and Green Lantern series that made up the network’s DC Nation Saturday Morning block presumably to be replaced by Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go series, which have been previously announced, but won’t get their debuts until sometime later this year.  In particular it is sad to see the stylish Green Lantern series depart.  The first DC Comics CGI series was so well done that it brings up the question of whether or not the Green Lantern property will ever be anything more than a niche hit in the comic market with little or no mainstream appel.

The Teen Titans Go series is a lighthearted affair aimed at younger viewers that utilizes ultra cute Chibi forms of the standard Teen Titans characters like Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Cyborg (see "'Teen Titans' Return to the Cartoon Network").  The eagerly-awaited Beware the Batman series is stylish-looking CGI affair that is reportedly considerably more on the serious side than the previous Batman: The Brave and the Bold series (see "'Beware the Batman'").

As for other Cartoon Network shows with major comic or game connections, it seems that Adventure Time, The Regular Show, MAD, Ben 10, Pokemon Black & White: Adventures in Unova, and Beyblade Metal Fury will all return for the 2013-2014 season.
