Following up on its eighteen volume and counting The Complete Peanuts, which covers 1950 through 1986, Fantagraphics Books has announced the first installment in a collection of Sunday color strips, Peanuts Every Sunday: 1952-1955. The 288-page, full-color hardcover will retail for $49.99 and is scheduled for a Fall 2013 release.
Remastering the original colors, each volume in the Peanuts Every Sunday series will contain four years of the Sunday comics. Overseeing the coloring process is Joanne Bagge, who recently worked with Jaime Hernandez on the cover art for Fantagraphics' God and Science: Return of the Ti-Girls in 2012 and with Peter Bagge on a cover for Dark Horse Comics' The Guild: Tink in 2011. Fantagraphics is currently envisioning a ten volume set.
