New 'POTA' Star

Jason Clarke, the CIA torturer in Zero Dark 30, has been cast for the lead in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, according to Hollywood Reporter. The film is a sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which starred James Franco. Matt Reeves will direct (see "'Apes' Sequel on Track"); shooting is to start soon.
The story is reportedly set 15 years after the event of the last film and focuses on scientists trying to survive alone in San Francisco and on Caesar’s struggle to maintain dominance. Andy Serkis returns in the Ceasar role.
