Comic Images is planning four trading card products for 2003.  In June, The Artwork of Boris and Julie: Strokes of Genius, will feature 72 images by Boris Vallejo and Julie Strain.  Chase cards will include three unique Boris autographed cards, three unique Julie autographed cards, and six foil cards.  A one-per-case redemption card can be exchanged for a signed, limited edition (500) litho by Boris worth over $150.

This fall, the company will release trading cards based on 24, which in its second season is picking up impressive ratings.  The set will include images from both the first and second seasons, as well as an advance look at the third season.  Autograph and memorabilia cards will give collectors something to chase.

This fall/winter, Comic Images will release trading cards based on Lil' Pimp, an animated feature due for release in July (see 'Best in Shows').  The movie features the eclectic voice talents of Lil' Kim  and William Shatner.  The cards will include autograph, sketch, and foil chase cards.

And in early October, a trading card series based on Mike Myers' Cat in the Hat (which bows November 21) is planned.  Comic Images will also be producing antique-style gumball machines and other products based on the film.  Terminator 3 cards will round out the line for Comic Images (for release in May, see 'Comic Images Gets Terminator 3').

On the game front, Film Frenzy -- The Movie Watching Card Game, a non-collectible card game for 2-5 players, is planned for summer release.  Designed to be played while the players watch action adventure movies, it fits the trend toward this type of game reported by distributors and retailers last holiday season.

And Comic Images is upgrading its organized play program for its evergreen WWE CCG.  Player ranking is being converted to the ELO system, the chess ranking system used by Wizards of the Coast for its player rankings.  And the Comic Images Website is being upgraded to make it possible to accept ranking information through the site, rather than via e-mail as is currently the case.
