Diamond Gets Studio Ghibli

Diamond Comic Distributors has signed a deal with Studio Ghibli for distribution of merchandise based on the studio’s properties, including toys, collectibles, and lifestyle products, in North America. Merchandise based on Studio Ghibli properties have never before been offered in North America with the exception of the Japan Pavilioin at Epcot in Orlando.
Diamond VP—New Business Development John Parker noted some of the properties involved. "Diamond will be able to offer the widest selection of products for My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and many others," he said.
The first products under the new deal will hit retail in April.
